MISSING VOICEMAILS

Oh, now it pains me to write this. I received quite a few voicemails over the weekend, during my little birthday retreat to Melbourne and while attempting to catch up on them all over the last couple days and discovered that they’ve all disappeared. If you’ve tried to contact me over and I haven’t gotten back to you, I’m very sorry. Please give me a buzz again and I would love to chat to you or you can email me at hello {at} ilovewednesdays.com

Thanks for your awesomeness,

Len xx

{I LOVE WEDNESDAYS} STORE

There are things that have ingrained themselves into my memory so completely that when I think about them I’m instantly taken back to that moment. Lately the things that have been sticking with me the most are memories from my childhood, like the crazy juice/punch dispenser I got for my fourth birthday, I still remember the texture of it, the smell of the fruit punch and the leak it got after that first day of ridiculously heavy use.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the kid that I was and the person that I am. I think we’re forever changing and growing, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. I remember the explorer that I used to be, fearless to the end. I sometimes miss that reckless abandon of youth. I’m young, don’t get me wrong, but there’s a naivete that you just lose as you grow older. I think we forget to marvel, explore, question.

You’re probably thinking, what the heck does this have to do with an I Love Wednesdays Super Store of Awesomeness, and the answer is simultaneously nothing, and everything. The store is a collection of images from my travels; images that were made through exploring that capture a sense of place and time. I hope they speak to you in some way and convey a sense of the place they were taken.

The store will change quarterly and all of the prints are limited to a print run of 10 and come packaged with a heck of a lot of love and a little present, just because.

I hope you enjoy the store, the prints and the presents.

USA {PART FOUR}

I’ve been delaying this last post, really delaying them all. It’s as if not posting them somehow means I’m still there. It is… it was a trip that I find difficult to describe to others. So I’m just going to let the photos so the talking for me.

All photos, except for a rare few, are shot on Hasselblad 500cm with Fuji Portra 160.

GHOST TOWN {WPPI}

I’m not really sure whether the title Ghost Town is really deserved for this little spot just outside of Vegas, because it’s turned into somewhat of a tourist attraction/photographer and director haunt. In fact, while we were there, there was a band photo shoot taking place, I’m honestly not sure what band it was, but they had their boy band poses down to a t.

I love all the knick knacks, animal heads and random ephemera around the place and it was nice to slowly saunter around the place looking at all the things they’ve accumulated over the years. Everything just had so much character and the things were obviously built to last which was lovely to see.

I think I could’ve spent a week there just going through everything, but was happy to have had the hour or so to go through it all. Here are some of my favourite piccies. Hope you enjoy.

{FLURRY HOME}

I’m getting all my ducks in a row for my trip to Vegas and WPPI this year, and this photo and song just remind me of the mammoth road trip that I will be undertaking and that feeling of excitement and longing that goes along with it. Mammoth might be an over-statement, but it certainly will be fun.

I will be Stateside from Sunday 20th February until Tuesday 8th March, but I should have internet access throughout, please bear with me if responding to emails takes me a little longer than usual and I’ll keep updating the blog as normal.

xoxo
