1. Vy + Matt // Cafe Morso Pyrmont Wedding

I feel like there’s so much I could write about Vy & Matt’s wedding day, but I honestly don’t know where to start. They are just truly two of the nicest, warmest people I’ve had the fortune of meeting and their wedding day reflected just that. It really struck me how close they all were and that so very much comes through in the planning of their wedding day. Everything was about them and their families, with Vy’s sister Theresa even utilising her design wizardry to create some pretty special graphics for the day (including an amazing canvas of their love story). I dare you to look at these photos and not just smile, because their day was just filled with such warmth, love, a lot of crazy dancing and a heck of a lot of laughter.

Vy & Matt thank you so much for searching through 25 pages of google to find me and letting me be a part of your day, and big thank you to my sister-from-another-mister Brit for being a second pair of eyes.

  2. Rosie & Josiah // A gorgeous handmade farm wedding

I knew the moment that I met Rosie that she was a kindred spirit. There are people that you meet and it feels like they’re your oldest friends, that was how it felt meeting Rosie & then Josiah and all their family and friends. I knew her wedding day would be something special, because the warmth with which she spoke about Josiah and their relationship, and the way her eyes lit up was something so wonderful and I just knew that I had to be a part of their day!

Everything about Rosie & Josiah and their day was created with such loving care to make sure that it reflected who they were and that everyone had a rollicking good time. In the days before their wedding, the temperatures in Sydney skyrocketed, and Rosie & Josiah wanting to ensure that everyone was comfortable and could enjoy their day moved their ceremony back an hour so their family and friends wouldn’t have to be outside in the midst of the Sydney summer heat.

I’ve struggled a little bit to write about Rosie & Josiah’s day, because it was such a celebration of love and family, it really struck me how connected and close they all were. There were a lot of people that contributed to making Rosie & Josiah’s day a special and gorgeous celebration and below are some of their details.

  3. B & D // Botanic Gardens wedding

From the very first email from the bride, I knew that we would be fast friends. The first time we met, it felt like a meeting with two old friends, we bonded over our mutual adoration of dumplings, kraft paper and wonderful buildings. There are some things that feel like fate, destiny, kismet, whatever you wish to call it and meeting B & D felt like an aligning of the planets to bring us all together.

Meeting B& D and now having the great blessing of calling them friends, I can’t imagine a couple more well suited to each other and more balanced. They have such a respect and a deep love that you can practically see how it binds them. Their ceremony was one of the most moving and intimate that I have ever witnessed with not a dry eye in the house (or garden, if you will).

The bride’s sister did a reading form one of their favourite authors, Arundati Roy:

“The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved.
To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you.
To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.
To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple.
To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch.
To try and understand. To never look away.
    And never, never to forget.”

I can’t think of a more perfect way to describe them. Thank you both so much for finding me, allowing me to be a part such an intimate and wonderful celebration and thank you for your friendship.
