I really do love when people get ready in their family homes, I love the little details of their family histories and lives. Emma & Enzo’s wedding was one really rooted in that family love and history (along with their love of wine and music!). Their wedding was a true reflection of who they are, everything had such beautiful and personal touches, from having a wine ceremony as part of their wedding including a bottle of their favourite Pinot Noir and love letters they wrote to each other the night before the big day, which are to be kept safe and sealed until their 10th wedding anniversary, to Emma’s dress, which was designed to showcase her tattoos, one of which is one of my favourite quotes from Milan Kundera:
The brain appears to possess a special area which we might call poetic memory and which records everything that charms or touches us, that makes our lives beautiful.
I feel like the phrase “poetic memory” really encapsulates their day, it was such a touching, laughter filled day that I’m so happy to have been able to document. Thank you Emzo (their amazing nickname) for having me be a part of your day and for having your wedding day your way, exactly how weddings should be! xx

To say we loved our booth for this year’s One Fine Day would be an understatement. It was a real labour of love and DIY goodness. We basically transported a part of my house to Australian Technology Park and tried to bring love and colour to our booth.
A lot was DIYed in the weeks prior to the fair, including our rug (which is not so secretly my faovourite DIY from this year). But our kind of amazing wall was made by the wonderful guys from WildSets, who built our epic wall, I really wanted it to feel lived in and like you were coming into our backyard and they really nailed the look. It turned out more perfect than I could’ve imagined, and I’m trying to figure out how to put it up in our house!
Thank you to my better half Nick for, as always, keeping me sane and running with my crazy ideas, my biz buddy Vic for making sure things ran smoothly, Jack attack for coming to help set everything up and to everyone else who came and said hello it was so lovely to meet you all and I hope you enjoyed the fair!
As I’m getting everything together for this year’s One Fine Day wedding fair, I’m struck by how much things can change in just a year, and there certainly are changes afoot at I Love Wednesdays!
I’ve felt a little not quite 100% there with the current visual identity of I Love Wednesdays, there’s so much that I love about it, but seeing more and more hand drawn cameras around it feels like it doesn’t belong to me any more. I know that that’s silly, but it’s hard to see something you’ve put so much of yourself into be used and re-used by others. I’ve also always wanted to add more colour, so that’s what we’re doing. One Fine Day will be a preview launch for the new I Love Wednesdays with lots more to come. If you’re in the area or want to have a gander, come say hello and have some tasty treats.
One Fine Day is at Sun Studios 42 Maddox St, Alexandria.
